BIOGRAPHY

King Kraken is not a band that rests. Oh no, two years since the release of their debut ‘MCLXXX’, the Kraken has risen again with a Tsunami of an album in their sophomore record, ‘March of the Gods’.

They’ve followed up years of hard gigging with a well-received UK tour that has seen them traverse the country. Appreciative audiences from Brighton to Bradford, Edinburgh to London and Newport to Norwich have seen the band shift up several gears, both in live show but also in the quality of their song writing.

King Kraken has stepped up from 2024’s huge shows at Station 18 Swansea Festival Sharkfest at The Patriot in Crumlin, and Bloodstock Open Air Festival, with phenomenal sets so far in 2025 at Rock for Llamau, Breaking Bands and Love Rocks festivals, as well as a rammed Devonshire Arms in Camden and a sold-out album launch at Hangar 18 in Swansea in April.

March of the Gods has received universally positive reviews. The production skills of Romesh Dodangoda (Motörhead, Bullet for My Valentine, Bring Me the Horizon) capture the huge sound of the band, whilst their singles have been supported by clever and varied videos including the zombie fuelled Chainsaw Saviour, the Viking muscle of Bezerker and the emotional Hero, a song which crashed into the Planet Rock playlist with ease. Their final single, March of the Gods also received airplay from both Planet Rock as well as Kerrang! and Primordial.

All eyes now turn to the Stonedead Festival in August, where the band will unleash their sound on 5000 punters. It’s going to be massive. Following this, the band will open for Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons on two Welsh dates, both of which are sold out well ahead of the shows. King Kraken will complete 2025 with a set at the inaugural Bloodstock Winter Gathering at the legendary KK’s Steel Mill.

And with gigs already coming for 2026, including a huge event supporting Fozzy in early 2026 at Cardiff’s Tramshed, the band are keen to maintain their momentum. With the new songs already going down a storm in the live arena, 2025 and beyond fair crackles with excitement. It’s looking to be the best year yet. In fact, it might just be the Year of the Kraken.

Go find it, go buy it and go mental!!!"
